Catcher Jorge Posada hit a homerun and had 3 RBI as the phenomenal Caracas
Leones defeated the California Gangsta Luv by the score of 8 to 6 at the
ballpark.
Caracas tallied 5 runs in the 4th inning when they had 4 base hits. The key
offensive moment was provided by Michael Tucker who made the Caracas fans a
happy lot when he lofted a three-run bomb (his 3rd of the season).
California threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Roger Clemens(19-9) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Greg
Maddux(14-7) took the loss. His ERA ballooned from 3.38 to 3.71 as he
allowed 8 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
